About the club

Picture
Sunstate Speedway Kart Club is a non-profit Motorsport Club and was established in the late 90's by the late Des Carsburg.  Des' aim was to manage, support and develop local and regional speedway karters within Queensland.  Sadly, in October 2011 after a lengthy battle with cancer Des lost his fight.

Today, Sunstate Speedway Kart Club is one of Queensland's largest clubs hosting an impressive line up of drivers, members and volunteers all of whom are keeping Des vision alive.

Sunstate Speedway Kart Club is proud to be the home for current title holders for 2021

At Sunstate we endeavour to provide pathways and opportunities for all karters to become active in local, state and national racing events.  We encourage development to our Sub Juniors and Juniors, teaching them important life skills about teamwork, leadership and discipline.
